12 days of showhomes: A round-up of our favourite projects from the year

To celebrate Christmas and 2020 we’re looking back at 12 showhome projects we’ve worked on this year, from the bright and beautiful family townhouses to the tranquil and calm one bed apartments.

DAY 1: THE RESIDENCE, CONTEMPORARY AND MINIMALISTIC

We were asked to create a memorable showhome that spoke to the New York theme of the development and encompassed the ‘loft-style’ Manhattan-living look. As we all know, New York is bold and luxurious and we wanted to reflect this energy in the apartment, whilst also making it a comfortable space to live in.

DAY 2: BLUE NOTE, MERRY & BRIGHT

We loved working on this project using inspiration from the history of the area which was once home to the EMI Record Label.

Throughout the apartment, we used a striking colour palette of purple, green, and black and contrasted this with monochrome elements; reflecting the local street art and graffiti. We added touches like the black pendant light fixture to represent the shape of a drum kit.

We not only wanted to use inspiration from the building’s past but to also create an environment that totally emersed potential buyers as they walked in.

DAY 3: BECKTON PARKSIDE, BEVERLY HILLS GLAMOUR

We’re very proud of this award-winning scheme and are thrilled we won the International Property Awards Residential Interior Showhome for London with this project.

We were asked to create a showhome inspired by the Beverly Hills Hotel that truly represented Hollywood glamour and had the ‘wow-factor’.

Beverly Hills itself is a place where retro meets contemporary and where people dare to be different, so this was something we were keen to bring through in the interiors. Our aim was to take this show apartment to the next level while creating something people could see themselves living in.

DAY 4: LION WHARF, HOMELY & VIBRANT

This showhome needed to be creative and contemporary with touches of luxury designed to appeal to local families.

We wanted to show families how they can have a cosy and luxurious home that also has personality and versatility. To do this we used a mixture of materials and finishes such as marble and velvet, alongside bold and beautiful colours and patterns that added energy.

This project is shortlisted for the International Architecture and Design Awards – stay tuned for more updates to come!

DAY 5: MARITIME, NEUTRAL & SOPHISTICATED

The location of this project played a key role in the design. We were inspired by the great outdoors and the art from the Tate Modern.

We stuck to a neutral palette throughout and injected warmer tones using accessories, soft furnishings, and artwork to bring in a homely feel.

DAY 6: COPPERHOUSE GREEN, BOLD & BRAVE

This development was in a building that was once a brewery, so we used this as our inspiration and created a showhome with an industrial feel and contemporary details. We added touches of metal and brass and paired them with bold colours and rich velvets to create a luxury vibe.

DAY 7: THE WALNUT, COLOURFUL & CREATIVE

One of our brightest and boldest projects this year, The Walnut was designed to appeal to young families and city professionals buying their first homes. We created an interior scheme that was a vibrant and energetic retreat filled with character and charm. We chose to use finishes such as velvets, golds, and glass and included an element of coordination and symmetry.

This project was also featured in the November issue of The London Magazine in an article on using bright colours in the home. Read it here.

DAY 8: EASTSIDE QUARTER, MID-CENTURY MODERN

This one-bed apartment was one of three showhome apartments we worked on at a new development in Bexleyheath. We were asked to create a minimalistic, mid-century vibe and used a neutral colour palette with bolder furnishings and dark woods.

DAY 9: FIELDER’S QUARTER, ENERGETIC & INVITING

Working with the developer we set out to achieve an energetic space with an element of luxe to appeal to first-time buyers. Our design scheme struck the balance between a young and vibrant space with an air of sophistication. We wanted to create the perfect space for entertaining and hosting, as well as relaxing.

DAY 10: BRUNEL STREET WORKS, MODERN & QUIRKY

For this project in Canning Town, London, we got the inspiration for the blue colour palette, artwork, and accessories from the nearby River Thames.

Our favourite element is the modern, geometric feature wall in the living room. This unique design was created to appeal to the young target audience and to contrast with the curves and organic feel of the river.

DAY 11: THE OLIVE, VIBRANT AND BOLD

We created a design scheme filled with energy and character using elegant furnishings and bold upholstery for this project.

We used pops of cheerful colour and playful art married with elegant touches and accessories and added a vibrant orange on the wall of the living room to pair with the striking orange sofa. We added monochrome cushions to create the perfect contrast and matched this with a sleek glass coffee table and brass accents.

In the bedrooms, we created a muted colour palette to contrast with the brighter colours in the living area. Through the dressing table and bedside tables, we were able to continue the angular details of the furniture too.

DAY 12: BIRNAM MEWS, STRIKING AND HOMELY

This project had to be bold and vibrant, and suit families and first-time buyers. We used striking wallpapers and colour choices to create energy but also a homely feel.

A key feature of this showhome is the bespoke fitted shelving which creates the perfect versatile work from home space.

This project has proved very popular with the press too and has been featured by The London Magazine, First Time Buyer Magazine, and The Week.

A big thank you to all our clients for their continued support this year. We hope you all have a very wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year.
