GRAND AVENUE
THE BRIEF
We were instructed, by Southern Home Ownership, to create an inspirational and memorable showhome that complimented the development and appealed to young professionals familiar with the area.
INSPIRATION
We wanted to create a vibrant and playful design with a classic charm. The nearby Brighton 'birdcage' bandstand provided great inspiration for geometric and bold patterns, as well as mosaic styles and botanical references.
THE DESIGN
The two-bed apartment at Grand Avenue uses geometric and art deco influences from the Brighton bandstand, combined with elegant and luxurious touches.
We achieved this look by using a warm grey tonal paint colour in the living room and balancing it with the botanical feature wallpaper. We then used a sage green sofa to work in harmony with the rug and to compliment the wallpaper tones. The natural wood sideboard is a great way to display personal items and add extra storage space to the room.
The kitchen boasts elegantly piped dining chairs to complement the linear shape of the brass dining table.
A bold colour palette of mustard, green, and hints of red are used in the master bedroom alongside a striking geometric wallpaper to create a 'wow moment’.
In the second bedroom, we used panelling and a pale blue to create a contemporary backdrop to the statement headboard. We also incorporated lots of characterful pieces, from the playful cushions to the exotic bird prints to continue the botanical design theme throughout the apartment.

Everyone in the team has shared their compliments and has even asked where certain items can be purchased! The building manager was particularly impressed with the design schemes, the agents have been very impressed with the apartments, and the feedback from potential buyers has also been very good. A lot of them spent time exploring the interiors and envisioned themselves creating similar themes in their new homes.
INVESTA has a brilliant team with so many creative minds. Every detail in the showhomes has a story; for example, the posters and paintings used were all sourced locally in Hove and the details have truly helped to create homes with character.
INVESTA’s design capabilities make them stand out from the competitors with their well thought through ideas and bold statement items. I particularly love the yellow sofa and rust orange boucle armchair in the one-bed apartment.
What impressed us most was INVESTA’s professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail. We strongly recommend working with INVESTA and are looking forward to working with them again on many more projects.
Since the launch of Grand Avenue, we have had numerous viewings of the apartments. The feedback has been great with people often mentioning the outstanding interiors, and many have reserved their new home as a result."
