Today we’d like to introduce you to our fantastic and dedicated International Director, Yi Wang.
Before joining INVESTA, Yi worked for the Berkeley Group. Her extensive experience in the prime property market and her impressive client networks across the Far East make her the ideal person to head up INVESTA’s expansion into the international market.
Tell us about your professional journey and experience.
I started my career with the Berkeley Group, initially as a Sales Executive and then quickly progressing to Private Sales Manager, specialising in the Far East Market. I did that for six years, before joining INVESTA just over three years ago.
What made you decide to join INVESTA?
I have always been a creative person and drawn to creative environments, and I wanted to be in a role where I could offer my clients more than just sales.
INVESTA struck me as a company that was interested in being the best in the industry rather than simply the biggest, and during my time here I’ve found a place where I can really express myself.
What are you hoping to achieve at INVESTA?
I would simply like to collaborate with our interior designers to create beautiful, unique projects for my clients that are really special places to live.
My biggest achievement to date was definitely my first refurbishment project with INVESTA, which had an order value of over £400K.
What do you enjoy about your profession?
It offers me the chance to work with high-net-worth clients and to see some of the best projects in the industry. I enjoy the fact that I can now attract clients based on my track record for providing impeccable service and working with integrity – that means a lot to me.
What do you do outside of work? Any interesting hobbies, interests or passions?
I love to travel and I find that the architecture of all the different and wonderful places I visit often continues to inspire my design work long after I’ve returned home. I also paint watercolours, do Pilates once a week and go snowboarding whenever I can. I’d love to design a ski chalet at some point!
What are you most enjoying about working at INVESTA?
I love being really hands-on with the project management; I feel very connected to my projects and I get a lot of satisfaction from being able to problem-solve for my clients and ensure great results for them. I enjoy being part of a smaller company because you know your contribution really matters. INVESTA really feels like a family and it’s such an exciting and diverse place to be – every day is different.
