THE BRIEF
To create a memorable showhome that speaks to the New York theme of the development and encompasses the ‘loft style’ apartment look. As Bellway’s flagship development it must present a premium and high-end look throughout.

INSPIRATION
Bellway’s flagship development, The Residence, was inspired by New York. When you walk into the building you are immediately immersed into luxury NYC living; from the brass details, exposed filament bulbs and brickwork to the masculine touches of leather.
It was important for us to carry this theme into the show apartment. New York is what some people call ‘the place of dreams’ – where people go to escape. It’s creative, bold and luxurious and we wanted to reflect this energy into the apartment, whilst also making it a comfortable space to live in.
THE DESIGN
As soon as you enter the apartment you are immediately greeted with an eye-catching, monochrome tile effect wallpaper and black ceiling – cocooning you in this New York escapism.
The living room has a considered, minimalist design with interesting furniture pieces in a variety of forms and finishes, brought together with a sophisticated and calming colour palette. We added warmth with the organically shaped walnut dining chairs and natural table dressings.
The theme continues into the bedroom with the bold orange velvet headboard and statement monochromatic curtains, eclectically paired with intricately carved timber bedside tables and meticulously positioned accessories.
