From one-bed flats to five-bed family homes we’re proud to design showhomes of all sizes that provide individuality and add value to every new development.
Our rigorous design process sees us working closely with developers and agents to identify the target demographic, research and obtain inspiration from the local area, and incorporate the personality of potential buyers in order to create atmospheric showhomes that maximise the development's full potential.
We love all our projects but there is something special about designing family homes; perhaps it's the playful and adventurous children's bedrooms or the comforting and calming atmosphere we strive to capture. Whatever it is, here are 5 examples from our collection of showHOUSES:
Ebbsfleet Cross
Trend-led, sleek, and playful
Bedrooms: 3
Location: Kent
Working with Bellway Homes we were asked to create an inspirational design for a three-bedroom house for first-time buyers and young families.
To appeal to young families we chose a sleek and playful interior with influences from trendy hotels, and used a bold colour palette and inviting textures.
Within the design, we incorporated a comfortable desk space to work from home, a welcoming hallway with ample storage and coat hooks, and playful accessories to appeal to the whole family.
Cosy, contemporary, and creative
Bedrooms: 4
Location: Old Isleworth, London
Our Lion Wharf project needed to appeal to families but also show how they can have a home that is cosy and contemporary yet still luxurious and creative.
We wanted to create a space that was inspirational but also showed how one family is a mixture of people with different personalities and interests. The aim – especially within the bedrooms – was to give them an individual character.
We used a mixture of finishes and materials with outdoor inspiration and links to rugby and Kew Gardens.
“Townhouses are inherently 'marmite’. We asked for the scheme to speak to a wide range of audiences, families, downsizers, upsizers, and lock-up and leavers. The scheme spoke to all of these, from the use of the ground floor kitchen space and the bench seating to the top floor master suite with balcony. Every room speaks to a different scenario yet it all seamlessly links together."

Carmelite Place
Classic and contemporary
Bedrooms: 4
Location: East Finchley, London
For this Grade II listed property, we wanted to blend the historic finishes of the house with contemporary design. We used classic elements such as wall beading and combined them with modern furniture pieces.
We used layers of texture with an earthy colour palette to create a sophisticated atmosphere throughout and added decorative accessories to add personality.
In the bedrooms, we used bold wallpaper and paintwork, and striking headboards to create memorable focal points while also ensuring the classic features are complimented.
Eclectic and colourful
Bedrooms: 3
Location: Sussex
Working with housing provider, Optivo, we were asked to create a sophisticated three-bed showhome that was aspirational, yet achievable for first-time buyers, couples, and young families looking to move from urban built-up areas to a picturesque countryside setting.
Our design was heavily influenced by the local area, the Sussex Downs, and the nearby city of Brighton. We combined this with luxury touches to echo the atmosphere at the popular Soho Farmhouse to create a calm and comfortable family home that was affordable and attainable too.
"INVESTA fully embraced the development branding whilst utilising the space to present a beautiful family home. The team is great to work with, offering constructive advice, taking onboard comments from both the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure the end product sets us apart from the competition, whilst creating an environment people want to live in."
Jane Williams Head of Sales & Marketing, Optivo
Mid-century, warm, and elegant
Bedrooms: 3
Location: Stratford-Upon-Avon
Our Birnam Mews project was a 3-bed showhome for a more mature family looking to move for extra space. We took inspiration from mid-century influences using warm woods, a calming colour palette, a mix of textures, and contemporary styling choices.
It was important the house had a grown-up feel despite being home to a busy family too, so we added statement furniture and accessory pieces and we designed the second bedroom so it could be used as a guest room or young adult’s room, and the third bedroom could be used as a guest room or study.
“We worked closely with INVESTA to produce a showhome that was memorable, aspirational and that would appeal to a varied target market.
“The feedback from our customers has been fantastic and we were delighted with the whole process, from design to installation.”
